From July 18 to 21, 2019, the China Medical Equipment Congress and the 2019 Medical Equipment Exhibition were held at the Suzhou International Expo Center. With the theme of "Innovation in the security application industry and seeking the future development of medical equipment", the conference focused on the development and construction of county-level hospitals, attracting more than 33,000 relevant department leaders, well-known experts and scholars at home and abroad and professionals from relevant industries, such as entrepreneurs. As a leading enterprise in the field of medical magnetic resonance imaging system, Xin Gaoyi Medical with the world's first 1.5T full body imaging cryogen free superconducting magnet exhibit, with cost-effective high-tech medical equipment to help county hospital upgrades.
Medically, MRI equipment has the characteristics of high safety, rapid and accurate imaging, and is widely used in medical human imaging. The NUCLEAR magnetic resonance imaging equipment equipped with superconducting magnets is not only faster imaging, higher image quality, but also has the advantages of achieving full-body imaging, small scanning noise, etc., and is the preferred in THE NUCLEAR magnetic resonance imaging equipment.
But only in extremely low temperatures near -269 degrees C, superconducting magnets can function in NUCLEAR magnetic resonance imaging equipment, so most imaging superconducting magnets need to operate in a cryogen free environment. But China's helium resources are only 0.2 per cent, while the US accounts for more than 50 per cent, and more than 80 per cent of the world's cryogen free supply comes from the US. Since 2007, the U.S. has restricted helium production as a strategic resource, leading to a sustained spike in cryogen free prices around the world. As a result, the production cost of superconducting magnets for imaging is very high, and in most cases, only relatively well-funded hospitals or private hospitals have the purchasing capacity.
According to Mo Lei, vice president of Ningbo Gaosi Superconductive Technology Co., Ltd. (xin Gaoyi Medical Device Co., Ltd.) 1.5T whole body imaging cryogen free superconducting magnet room temperature aperture of 850mm, using the chiller direct conduction cooling technology, the realization of the overall structure design of cryogen free magnet, cryogen free superconducting switch, cryogen free superconducting joint, cryogen free current lead and other basic technology breakthroughs, so that superconducting magnet imaging technology to achieve a full "cryogen free."
The overall production cost of superconducting magnets for imaging has been greatly reduced by the loss of dependence on cryogen free, and the need for emergency over-over-lineing has significantly reduced installation and maintenance costs for the hospital. "This will significantly reduce the cost of purchasing superconducting magnets for imaging, allowing hospitals, especially county hospitals, to buy high-performance equipment at reasonable prices." Mo Lei said.
County hospital capacity-building has always been one of the core tasks of national medical reform, and Xin Gaoyi has always regarded the county hospital as a part of the core market. "Xin Gaoyi has been very focused on research and development suitable for the use of county-level hospitals products. We hope to enable county hospitals to buy better performance, more affordable magnetic resonance imaging system, for county hospitals will soon be upgraded to tertiary hospitals to provide hardware support. "
It is understood that Xin Gaoyi Medical Equipment Co. , Ltd. is a national high-tech enterprises, with the University of Nottingham, Zhejiang University and other universities have maintained cooperation in production and learning, is committed to academic upgrading to drive technology upgrading, research and development of high-tech medical magnetic resonance imaging system. At present, Xin Gaoyi has formed a permanent magnetic open magnetic resonance imaging and superconducting magnetic resonance two series of more than ten products, sold to more than 20 countries and regions, for more than 7 million patients to provide treatment.
Mo Lei said that in the future, Xin Gaoyi will further work to promote medical magnetic resonance imaging system in county hospitals, for primary hospitals to provide cost-effective cutting-edge medical equipment, to serve the vast number of grass-roots patients.
